چکیده
Past major biological turnovers are coeval to large injections of CO2 into the atmosphere–ocean system that often linked emplacement Large Igneous Provinces. The impact these pulses on ecosystems is however different at times, and this difference contingent initial boundary conditions. Here, we show how delayed vegetation recovery from Permo–Triassic mass extinction (ca. 252 Ma) continuing amalgamation Pangaea, determined style Late Triassic Carnian Pluvial Episode 233 Ma), a global climate change event turnover Wrangellia LIP. Our new biogeochemical modelling can reproduce changes in C Sr isotopes only when assume high terrestrial productivity recovers Carnian, ?15 Myrs after crisis, consistent with re-appearance coal swamps. In model, early expansion organic reservoir results drop atmospheric pCO2 temperatures. Furthermore, shows resulting low conditions, coupled aridity made Earth more susceptible hydrological cycle enhancements following inputs volcanism, thus explaining nature Episode.

متن کاملTaphonomy and palaeoecology of Late Triassic (Carnian) ammonoid concentrations from the Taurus Mountains, Turkey
The deposits of the Carnian Kasımlar Formation within the Taurus Platform Units of south-western Turkey represent an important archive of a Late Triassic ecosystem. New palaeontological information was obtained by analysing the Kasimlarceltites mass occurrence, located within the Kasımlar Formation and named after the Lower Carnian (Julian) ammonoid genus Kasimlarceltites. This is the dominant ...

Diminutive Metoposaurid Skulls from the Upper Triassic Blue Hills (adamanian:latest Carnian) of Arizona
We describe two tiny metoposaurid specimens from the lower part of the Chinle Group in the Blue Hills of east-central Arizona. The more complete of these specimens is an incomplete skull anterior to the orbits (45 mm preorbitallength) and numerous skull roof and palate fragments. The less complete specimen is a 25-mm-long skull roof fragment surrounding the left orbit. Based on the sutural rela...
متن کاملVisualization System for Earth Environmental Data Base
The earth’s environmental problems have attracted serious attention worldwide. Various kinds of environmental data, such as remote sensing data, have become available for examining. Although this data is crucial to understanding such problems, there has become an over-abundance in variety of size, format, and filetype which makes it difficult for researchers to handle. We feel that earth enviro...
